Expert Removals Journey to Net Zero Emissions

Expert Removals is committed to being a responsible business that prioritises the environment and the well-being of the planet.

As the threat of climate change continues to loom, our company recognises the importance of taking action to reduce their carbon footprint and minimize their impact on the environment.

Our strategy for 2023 and beyond includes a range of initiatives designed to tackle climate change, such as investing in renewable energy, reducing waste, and implementing eco-friendly practices throughout our operations.

By prioritising sustainability and taking proactive steps to protect the environment, Expert Removals is demonstrating our commitment to building a better future for all.

Carbon Working Group

The Carbon Working Group’s recent formation marks a significant milestone in addressing the issue of reducing carbon emissions. A primary objective of their ambitious undertaking is to concentrate on the reduction of building emissions, a main contributor to carbon footprint.

By committing to this, the team hopes to take firm measures to ensure that the future of our planet is safer, healthier, and more sustainable. With increasing concerns over climate change, it is pivotal that we recognise the urgency of our actions and take appropriate steps forthwith.

By harnessing collective action and leveraging the power of technology, the Carbon Working Group is paving the way toward a promising, carbon-free future.

Our Goals

Two important interim goals have been set in order to achieve our overall goal of reducing these harmful emissions. These goals include a 45% reduction by 2027 and a 65% reduction by 2032.

In order to achieve these goals, it will require a coordinated effort by all stakeholders. This effort includes changes in our daily habits, investments in renewable energy, and policy changes within our organisation.

By working towards these interim goals, we can make a considerable impact in reducing the harmful effects of carbon emissions, preserving our planet for future generations to come.

Steps to Reduce Emissions

Reducing electricity usage has become a top priority for individuals and organizations alike, and businesses are finding innovative ways to ensure their operations are efficient and sustainable.

One way that we have identified to achieve significant energy savings is by engaging with our staff to raise awareness about the importance of reducing electricity usage.

By turning off lights in unoccupied areas and switching to LED lighting, we can reduce our energy consumption and save money on energy bills. Additionally, we are investigating how the use of solar panels can further reduce our energy usage and provide a source of renewable energy.

We have eliminated all unnecessary lighting fixtures and are implementing energy-efficient measures such as motion sensors to automatically turn off lights when they’re not being used. We have also installed energy-efficient appliances in our kitchens, bathrooms, and other areas of the business.

We are also exploring ways to reduce water usage by installing low-flow showers and toilets. We are also encouraging employees to use reusable water bottles and reduce their consumption of single-use plastics.

Finally, we are committed to educating our staff on the importance of sustainability and providing incentives for them to reduce their energy and water consumption.

Fleet Strategy

We have taken steps to reduce our carbon footprint by investing in more fuel-efficient vehicles for our fleet, as well as encouraging employees to carpool and use public transportation when available. We are also considering the use of electric vehicles and are exploring ways to introduce them into our fleet.

Waste Reduction

We have implemented a comprehensive waste reduction program, which includes recycling and composting initiatives. We also encourage employees to bring their own reusable containers for meals and drinks, as well as reduce the amount of paper wasted.

We have also committed to reducing packaging waste by introducing reusable containers for our products and services wherever possible. Where packing materials are used, we are looking into alternatives such as paper and biodegradable materials.

Suppliers and Partners

We are working with suppliers and partners to ensure they are taking action to reduce their carbon footprint. We will only work with partners and suppliers who share our commitment to sustainability.

Future Commitment

We are committed to going beyond compliance obligations and having a positive social and environmental impact. We are continually exploring ways that our company can become more sustainable and reduce its environmental impact.

Our sustainability commitment is the starting point in our drive to be a more sustainable business.

We will continue to search for innovative ways to use sustainable materials, technologies, and practices that can reduce the environmental impact of our operations.

Our commitment to sustainability is making a difference, but we still have work to do and will continue to strive for excellence in this field.

We hope our clients and partners join us in this journey to promote sustainability by adopting socially and environmentally responsible practices. Together, we can make a lasting positive impact on the environment, our communities, and our planet as a whole.
